About Us

WHAT IS  THE 

WAREHOUSE PROJECT?

The Warehouse Project brings together a collaboration of creative projects & stakeholders, committed to protecting and promoting social, cultural, and economic rights across Sri Lanka.

OBJECTIVES

1.To promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth and ensure that all members of the community have access to opportunities for full and productive livelihoods, employment and decent work by engaging government, private sector and financial institutions for improving the resilience of communities and promoting entrepreneurship and local economic development

 

2.To promote optimal health and nutrition for communities using a multi-sector approach to enable them to reach their full potential, while working towards the goals of zero hunger, and good health and well-being. This includes ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

3.To increase access to quality education for disadvantaged communities, particularly girls and children/ youth with disabilities, including developing capacities of teachers, learning methods and systems, while promoting safe learning environments, parental/ community involvement in education. 

 

4.To improve access to affordable and clean energy in underserved communities by promoting the adoption of renewable energy solutions such as solar, wind, hydro power and other technologies. The organisation will work with local governments and private sector partners to facilitate investments, access to finance, knowledge, technology, and resources to enable communities to transition to sustainable energy sources and reduce carbon emissions.

 

5.To promote gender equality, social justice and inclusive institutions through civic engagement and advocacy, promoting civic education and awareness of citizens' rights and responsibilities, support the development of civil society organizations, and advocate for their participation, particularly women and other under-represented groups in decision-making processes. 

 

6.To address climate change and promote sustainable environmental practices, sustainable consumption and production by supporting communities to mitigate its impacts and adapt to changing environmental conditions by adopting sustainable lifestyles and implementing sustainable development projects in areas of sustainable land use, biodiversity conservation, eco system restoration and natural resource management among others

 

7.To establish branch offices worldwide to promote the objectives of the organisation and collaborate with local partners to implement sustainable development projects to address specific challenges faced by communities and countries while fostering collaboration and promoting learning across different regions.
